The Regulatory Reporting Governance Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

nResponsibilities:
- nProvides Regulatory reporting strategic analytics and information management across Citibank products, facilitating data-quality and controls for other teams and managers.
- nProvides regulatory reporting project management support (business requirements, analysis and testing) for delivery of regulatory solutions.
- nPerforms business analysis to respond to regulatory and business questions and provide portfolio insights.
- nPerforms data analysis to monitor and track data quality and completeness of data.
- nProvides Project Management of various deliverables for Regulatory Reporting. Involvement in rationalization of EUCs (End User Computing) used for Portfolio Regulatory Reporting Reviews.
- nAssists project manager and work with business users to gather business requirements and draft and co-ordinate approval for Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
- nReviews Regulatory Reports and ensure accurate, timely and completeness in submission.
- nAttention to detail and must work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement process changes, improve productivity, and optimize reporting efficiency.
- nMonitor changes in regulatory requirement and update process notes accordingly. Ensure proper documentation with required approvals.
- nAnalyses data and identify factors contributing towards variances.
- nProvides insights on process and recommendation for improvement/ automation.
- nActs as senior contact for queries/ concerns received from regulator and other stakeholders.
- nProvides senior oversight to Analysts.
- nStays updated on the industry practices and integrate them into regulatory reporting process.
- nEffectively identify and mitigate risks / issues while ensuring continued compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- nPerform periodic assessment to identify areas of weakness, reporting deficiencies and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- nProactively identify gaps in regulatory reporting and drive improvement where needed. Open CAPS as appropriate and work with the relevant stakeholders on remediation and successful closure of the CAPs/issues within the assigned target date.
- nQuantify and monitor each risk in the process. Drive MCA control effectiveness by proactively evaluating the risks involved in regulatory reporting, identify control lapses and building remediation plans to bring the risks at minimum levels.
- nProactively identify the outliers in regulatory reporting, perform the root cause analysis of the identified issues and putting a solution in place where possible.
- nTo align with firm-wide initiative of transitioning away from manual touch points to straight through processing of preparing regulatory reports.
- nClose monitoring of departmental KPI's & OKR's, identify strong performing areas and the area that needs greater attention.
- nEnsure all the do's and don'ts as listed in Regulatory Reporting Framework are followed while directly communicating and dealing with the regulatory authorities.
- nAny breaches, misses & / or concerns in regulatory reporting to be instantly informed to the senior management through a predefined escalation template.
- nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
nQualifications:
- n5-10 years experience and ability to partner with Business and Technology stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project goals.
- nProficient ability to interpret business requirements for the purpose of liaising with Technology Developers.
- nKnowledge of banking (Payments & Receivables, International Trade, Corporate Cards, Onboarding) domain especially Regulatory reporting management and various Regulatory policies.
- nExperience in product program governance and risk management framework.
- nShould have Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel (metrics and data analysis), PowerPoint (presentation decks), and Word (writing and editing procedural and technical documentation) and Xceptor.
- nAbility to build and maintain relationships with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization.
- nExperience in compiling process and data quality metrics, analyzing results to clearly communicate data-driven analysis to senior management.
- nGood knowledge of Regulatory Reporting key concepts, requirements, and controls
- nBackground in Data Analytics & Visualization is preferred.
nEducation:
- nBachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
