We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager for the Operating Theatre (OT) to oversee the day-to-day operations of our surgical services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare operations, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the functioning of operating theatres. The Operations Manager will ensure that all surgical operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the operating theatres, ensuring smooth coordination between surgical teams, anesthesia, nursing staff, and other departments.
- Staff Management: Supervise and manage OT staff, including nurses, technicians, and support personnel. Ensure appropriate staffing levels, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing training and development.
- Quality Control & Safety: Ensure that all procedures are conducted in compliance with safety standards, infection control protocols, and relevant healthcare regulations. Monitor surgical outcomes and ensure the highest quality of care.
- Resource Management: Ensure proper inventory management of surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments. Coordinate with procurement to ensure that all resources are available and in working condition.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Oversee the scheduling of surgeries and ensure optimal utilization of operating rooms. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other relevant staff to ensure smooth workflow and minimal delays.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, health, and safety standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to surgeries, staff performance, and equipment maintenance.
- Budget & Financial Management: Manage the OT budget, monitor expenses, and work on cost-control measures without compromising the quality of care or service delivery.
- Patient Experience: Monitor patient satisfaction in relation to OT services. Address patient concerns and feedback, ensuring a high level of service.
- Collaboration: Work closely with hospital management, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the operating theatre.
Qualifications:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare Management, Nursing, or related field. A clinical background (e.g., Registered Nurse, MBBS) is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare operations within an operating theatre or surgical services environment.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures, equipment, and infection control standards.
- Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and working in a high-pressure environment.

- Ability to manage budgets, resources, and staff effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and safety standards.
