Role: Manager - Cloud Operations
We are seeking a highly experienced Manager - Cloud Operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 12 years of relevant experience and possess strong skills in AWS Infra Services, People Management, Team Management, Incident Management, AWS cloud Services, Cloud support, Change management, 24x7 operations, Service requests, and Documentation. The primary responsibility of the Manager - Cloud Operations will be to lead and manage the cloud operations team, ensuring the smooth functioning of AWS infrastructure and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of cloud operations professionals and ensure efficient delivery of services.
- Oversee incident management and resolution, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team members.
- Manage AWS cloud services, including infrastructure provisioning and optimization.
- Handle change management processes and ensure timely implementation of changes.
- Support 24x7 operations, responding to service requests and resolving issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Estimate AWS usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms for client customers.
- Collaborate with teams for integration of AWS cloud technologies.
- Develop and implement process automation using Python and other appropriate technologies.
- Utilize AWS cloud technologies like Redshift, Glue, EC2, S3, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Provide technical guidance to developers and ensure high-quality code delivery.
- Manage and maintain cloud resources, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cloud operations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in cloud operations, with a focus on AWS.
- Strong knowledge of AWS Infra Services and hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience in people management and team management.
- Proven expertise in incident management and change management processes.
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- AWS certifications are a plus.
