What does a successful Logistics Manager do at Fiserv
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Ops Manager to oversee and manage various aspects of procurement projection, stock keeping, inventory management, repair management, FSD agreement management, and both forward and reverse logistics. As the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout the organization's supply chain, optimizing efficiency, minimizing costs, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will play a critical role in managing the logistics operations and implementing strategic initiatives to improve overall performance.
What will you do:
Procurement Projection:
Develop and execute procurement strategies to forecast and plan the organization's material requirements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory levels.
Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Stock Keeping and Inventory Management:
Implement inventory management policies and procedures to optimize stock levels, minimize stock outs, and reduce carrying costs.
Oversee the monitoring of inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage stock movements, including receipt, storage, and issuance of materials.
Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and implement strategies for liquidation or disposal
Repair Management:
Establish and maintain repair management processes to efficiently handle equipment or product repairs.
Coordinate with vendors, service centers, and technicians to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
Develop and implement quality control procedures to verify the effectiveness of repairs and minimize return rates.
FSD Agreement Management:
Manage and administer the Field Service Delivery (FSD) agreements with external partners or vendors.
Ensure compliance with agreed service levels, performance metrics, and contractual obligations.
Conduct periodic evaluations of FSD partners, address any issues or concerns, and initiate performance improvement initiatives.
Forward and Reverse Logistics:
Develop and optimize logistics networks for the efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers.
Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery and order fulfillment.
Manage reverse logistics processes, including product returns, repairs, replacements, and disposal.
Continuously assess and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
What will you need to know:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on procurement projection, stock keeping, inventory management, repair management, FSD agreement management, and both forward and reverse logistics.
Proficiency in using logistics management software and systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
