We are urgently looking for an Operations Manager to join our team, responsible for managing daily operations, team coordination, and ensuring the seamless functioning of our media production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-Day Media Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the media company, ensuring all tasks, from content production to social media management, are carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure that content is published on time, maintaining high standards of quality across written articles, videos, and social media posts.
- Ensure all social media sharing is executed timely and appropriately across platforms such as LinkedIn and Facebook.
- Content Management:
- Coordinate the writing, editing, and publishing of articles on the website. Ensure content is published on schedule and is of the highest quality.
- Monitor the creation, editing, and uploading of YouTube videos, ensuring video quality and publication timelines are met.
- Ensure that videos are promoted effectively on social media, maintaining engagement and traffic generation targets.
- Team Coordination and Management:
- Act as the key link between the CEO and various departments including HR, PR, Social Media, Digital Marketing, Business Development, Editorial, and other operational teams.
- Coordinate between writers, editors, anchors, social media team, digital marketing team, and the sales & marketing team to ensure smooth functioning of daily tasks.
- Ensure work is assigned to each team member, and no one is left without tasks. Keep a check on team members work progress and ensure they meet deadlines.
- If someone is absent or has left the company, ensure their work is coordinated and covered by other team members without disruptions.
- Quality Control and Reporting:
- Conduct quality control checks on all written and video content before publication.
- Ensure proper records are maintained across departments, particularly tracking the progress and quality of work being produced.
- Prepare regular reports on content, social media activities, video production, and digital marketing outcomes. Provide these reports to management to inform future decisions and strategies.
- Social Media and Digital Marketing Oversight:
- Ensure that the digital marketing and social media teams are consistently posting ads and content for lead generation, traffic generation, and revenue growth.
- Analyze the effectiveness of social media and marketing campaigns. If goals aren't being met, identify the issues and work on solutions.
- Oversee email marketing campaigns for lead generation and revenue optimization.
- Team Leadership & Hiring:
- Oversee the hiring and onboarding of new team members including content writers, editors, and digital marketing professionals.
- Provide guidance and leadership to ensure that the team operates in a cohesive and productive manner, helping the company achieve its strategic goals.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Operational Process Refinement:
- Continuously improve operational processes to achieve better outputs with minimum input.
- Handle critical situations and ensure that any challenges are promptly resolved to prevent disruptions in workflow.
- Ensure that all processes are followed as per company standards and gaps are filled promptly.
- Strategic Development & Growth Initiatives:
- Play a key role in developing new strategies, partnerships, and collaborations to enhance the company's growth.
- Work with the CEO and board to align daily operations with the company's long-term goals and vision.
- Manage partnerships with external organizations, maintaining high levels of communication and coordination.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:
- Postgraduate degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Operations Management, Business Management, or a related field is required. Candidates with practical job experience of 1 to 1.5 years will be given priority. Degrees in Entrepreneurship, Business Management, or Journalism are also considered.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 1 to 1.5 years of relevant work experience in media operations, media-related roles, or managing teams in a media environment is required.
- Skills:
- Language Proficiency: Strong command over both written and verbal English and Hindi.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal abilities to manage and coordinate teams effectively.
- Adaptability: Must be highly adaptable to handle the dynamic nature of the media industry. Should be proactive in identifying and resolving operational challenges.
- Computer Proficiency: Technically sound in using digital tools, content management systems, and media-related software for content publishing, social media marketing, and team collaboration.
- Leadership & Initiative: Must be a strong team leader, capable of motivating the team, managing performance, and ensuring all work is aligned with the company's objectives.
- Work Commitment:
- This is a full-time, work-from-office position (Monday to Saturday, 10 AM - 6:30 PM). Candidates must be willing to travel to the office daily. Remote or hybrid work is not an option for this role.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to media, journalism, content publishing, or media operations.
- Experience in managing content creation, proofreading, and social media marketing.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, ensuring all media processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
Day-to-Day Tasks:
- Oversee the publishing of articles and videos, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Monitor the performance of social media and digital marketing campaigns.
- Handle the operational needs of the company, ensuring smooth coordination between all teams.
- Maintain and analyze records of work done by content writers, editors, and the marketing team.
- Solve daily operational challenges and continuously refine processes for better output.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the CEO on the progress of various tasks and operations.
