Position Overview

The Operations Executive for the fabric store is responsible for managing the inventory and maintaining accurate records of the goods in the store. This role involves tracking stock levels, ensuring the efficient cataloging of all goods, and coordinating with the store manager for all inventory movements.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Track all goods in the store to maintain accurate inventory levels and document movements, including receipts and dispatches.
  • Ensure precise records of stock levels with daily updates, keeping all documentation current and easily accessible.
  • Ensure all goods are cataloged with clear descriptions and identification tags, label and organize fabric items properly, and maintain accurate documentation of all goods received, transferred, and issued.
  • Basic knowledge of fabric types, qualities, and their proper handling and storage techniques to ensure optimal care and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for managing inventory.
  • Inspect fabric items and materials to ensure they meet quality standards before being issued or stored.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock levels to support efficient inventory control and reporting.

Requirements

  • Graduate.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sourcing within a buying house, preferably related to textiles or fabrics.
  • Basic understanding of fabric types and textile trends.
  • Genuine interest in fabrics and textiles is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
