Tricon is seeking a Operations Executive- Bulk Liquid in Mumbai.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Review all purchase, sales, and freight contracts to understand and mitigate operational risks.
Review all freight charterparties and provide comments prior to fixing the vessel. Work closely with ship brokers and the Tricon commercial team to ensure that the charter party is optimal for the Company.
Issue purchase and sales contracts timely
Ensure all contractual obligations are executed timely for all purchase and sales deals.
Obtain clean acceptance of vessels from suppliers and receivers. Ensure timely communication of issues/acceptances to ship broker/owner.
Issue clear documentary instructions, loading, voyage, and discharge orders
Appoint independent inspection timely. Review analysis results to ensure that purchase and sales specifications are met.
Liaise with Treasury to ensure timely and accurate issuance/acceptance of letters of credit
Work closely with the Credit team to ensure that Tricon's credit risk is fully protected prior to transfer of title
Coordinate with the supplier and customer for the documentary and operational requirements for smooth vessel loading & discharging operations
Work with freight forwarders or customs agents to ensure Tricon complies with all import & export processes, rules, and regulations of the particular country
Ensure prompt invoicing of and payment of cargo and freight invoices
Ensure that secondary costs relating to inspection, storage, etc are estimated accurately and paid timely.
Update the demurrage team promptly after loading and discharge with all necessary information to ensure quick issuance of demurrage charges to suppliers and receivers.
Maximize recoveries and ensure that all claims to third parties are correctly documented and presented. Secure payment of third-party claims.
Complete voyage reconciliations for transactions. Where losses are greater than accepted industry practice, they must be discussed with the Tricon commercial team, and an agreed strategy must be documented
When required, agree rates with third-party logistics vendors
Develop & manage relationships with key suppliers, customers & service providers to ensure effective deal execution
Update and maintain accurate data in the Tricon Trading System, including real time key event dates, nominated and actual quantities, secondary costs, tank inventory levels, and other operational information
Qualifications/Skills
Bachelor's degree and proficient in MS office
2-3 years of work experience in supply chain/Logistics operations of Bulk Liquid
Basic understanding of global trading-liquid bulk will be added advantage
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize workload to meet requests on a short notice
Strong analytical skills
Having knowledge on International Trade and Chartering of Bulk liquid Chemical
