About the Group and Team:
The Transformation Office group aims to improve operational excellence and efficiency across
Citco Fund Services (CFS) through a combination of process re-design and automation. We conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses on business operations to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
Our team, a subgroup of the Transformation Office, is tasked with project oversight, project management, and reporting to the CFS executive teams. In addition to supporting project management, we are commonly expected to facilitate conversation, conduct analyses, and produce succinct reporting to senior management.
About The Role
The Transformation Office is looking for an experienced
Operational Excellence Lead to (a) understand relevant business objectives and processes; (b) move projects forward within the DMAIC framework; (c) train Citco staff on different problem solving and process improvement approaches, tools and techniques; (d) coach and lead staff through their certification journey; and (e) create training material that can be delivered to staff on different OPEX topics
We are seeking an experienced and accomplished leader to support our organization's operational excellence and Lean Six Sigma initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction by growing our community of practice, upskilling our staff and leading initiatives where needed. This leader will leverage their expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools to coach and guide cross-functional teams and their staff in identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement.
The
Operational Excellence Lead will be part of the Transformation Office team under the direction of our Process Excellence and Design team Leadership. They should be comfortable communicating with all levels within the organization, carrying out detailed work (training, coaching, data analysis, opportunity identification and benefit calculation) and be both flexible and hardworking.
Experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt
- Coaching and mentoring Yellow Belts, Green Belts, and other team members in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools
- Facilitating and leading workshops focused on both understanding and solving complex problems
- Driving, implementing and sustaining change
- Presenting information succinctly to senior leadership
- Building and delivering training material to participants both in person and virtual
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and Lean Six Sigma initiatives, with demonstrated results in process improvement, cost savings, and customer satisfaction
- Ability to manage stakeholders and influence without authority across all levels
Critical Thinking
- Ability to comprehend business objectives, processes, and challenges including technical aspects
- Ability to think critically and formulate logic-based opinions
Communication / Soft Skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to articulate objectives, processes and challenges concisely
- Keen sense of organization; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to confidently and appropriately present information to various audiences
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams
Technology
- Excellent MS Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to operational excellence
- Competence with SharePoint/PowerApps preferred, but not required
- Strong knowledge of Minitab
Qualifications
- Project Management (PMP or CAPM), Lean Six Sigma (BB+), Design Thinking, Scrum Management (CSM), Change Management (CCMP) or Client Experience certification(s) are considered an asset but not required
- You're adaptable, pro-active, open, and collaborative in your approach to working with others
- You're conversant in organizational structure and interested in how operational components contribute to an end product
- You're comfortable with leading projects alone or leading with others
- You're experienced in managing people (directly or indirectly)
- You're generally familiar with the investment industry
- You're able to distill key ideas from larger, less organized sets of information and are able to simplify complex problems into more digestible ones
- You're able to organize, analyze and manipulate large datasets.
