- Debt collection: Collecting overdue loans and written-off loans, and working with branch managers and credit officers to execute recovery strategies
Planning: Developing plans of action for written-off loans and identifying clients who are likely to have their loans written off- Monitoring: Monitoring loan quality and developing tools to control weekly portfolio quality
Reporting: Reporting to management on the progress of recovery, projections, and the amount of recoveries made
- Legal: Attending adalath court sessions and petitioning law enforcement agents
Risk management: Working with risk management to identify and mitigate credit risks
Some skills that may be helpful for a recovery officer include:- A bachelor's degree with min 3yr experience in microfinance collection/Recovery
