Position Overview: Online Educator
Teachers will be based in Bangalore, India, and deliver sessions online using advanced digital tools and platforms. The role involves working in two shifts in a hybrid mode. The first shift will require teachers to work from the office in the JP Nagar area of Bangalore, focusing on resource development and coordination. The second shift will involve online delivery of sessions from home. The number of hours in each shift will vary based on the number of online sessions scheduled on a given day.
Expected timings for online classes: Between 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm (IST)
Key responsibilities include:
Deliver engaging and interactive online lessons for students in Grades 9-11, aligned with the CXC curriculum.
Utilize games, simulations, caselets, and digital tools to make live sessions dynamic, engaging and participative.
Prepare and contribute to the development of learning resources, including lesson plans, presentations, digital content, and assessments, to support student learning.
Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) and GDS App for teaching, communication, and assessment purposes.
Assess student progress through quizzes, assignments, and exams, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
Collaborate with the GDS academic team to ensure core curriculum and innovative enhancements are designed and delivered.
Participate in routine administrative activities, such as maintaining student records, preparing reports, and attending academic coordination meetings.
Engage in regular parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress, address concerns, and build strong relationships with families.
Support the integration of Guyanese teachers into the system by mentoring and sharing best practices.
Participate in teacher training programs to stay updated with digital teaching methodologies and tools.
Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth learning experience.

Qualifications:
A Master's degree in the relevant subject area is mandatory.
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, preferably for Grades 9-11 or equivalent levels.
Familiarity with international curricula, such as the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC), Cambridge International Curriculum, or IB, is highly desirable.
A teaching qualification or certification such as the Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching and Learning (CICTL) or equivalent is an added advantage.
Proficiency in using digital teaching tools, online platforms, and virtual classroom technologies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage students effectively in an online environment.
