Position Overview

We seek a passionate Online Community Specialist to join our team. As an Online Community Specialist, you will play a vital role in building and nurturing our online community, fostering engagement, and ensuring a positive user experience. You will be responsible for implementing strategies to grow and maintain an active and vibrant online community, while also monitoring and moderating user-generated content. The ideal candidate will have an existing understanding of online communities, exceptional communication skills, and a strong interest in driving community growth and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Community Strategy and Development:.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends to identify new opportunities for community growth and engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align community efforts with overall company objectives.
  • Community Engagement and Moderation:
  • Foster a positive and welcoming environment within the online community.
  • Engage with community members, respond to inquiries, and provide assistance.
  • Encourage meaningful discussions and facilitate knowledge sharing among community members.
  • Monitor user-generated content and enforce community guidelines and policies.
  • Resolve conflicts and manage difficult situations that may arise within the community.
  • Content Creation and Curation:
  • Identify compelling and relevant content to stimulate community engagement and discussion.
  • Curate and share valuable resources, news, and updates with the community.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to obtain and share exclusive content with the community.
  • Identify and collaborate with community influencers and advocates to amplify community reach.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Track and analyse community metrics, such as engagement, growth, and sentiment.
  • Generate regular reports on community performance and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Utilize data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for community enhancements.
  • Community Advocacy and Outreach:
  • Represent the online community internally and advocate for its needs and interests.
  • Identify and engage with potential community members and partners.
  • Plan and execute community events, contests, and initiatives to foster engagement.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in working on or contributing to Online Community platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce Communities or InSided, Gainsight DH, etc preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of online community platforms, social media, and community management best practices.
  • Familiarity with community analytics tools and ability to interpret data.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Passionate about building and nurturing online communities.
  • Experience with content creation, curation, and social media management is a plus.

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 1,167,000 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
