Qualification Required: Graduate / Post Graduate.
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience of working in a development sector will be an added advantage.
Skill and Competencies:
- Microsoft Office computer skills, proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Detail-oriented and rigorous in approach to tasks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to handle a variety of assignments under the pressure of deadlines.

- Strong interpersonal and team skills.

About the Role (Including Team and Reporting):
Position Description:
The grants officer will report to Asst. Manager-Grants and will be responsible to support the team in budgeting, grant management, accounting, and maintaining proper documentation.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Grants Team in preparation of budget data for ERP.
- Using ERP provide support to Grants Team in preparation of expense and budget data for analysis purposes.
- Maintain database of Grants and Contracts financed out of grants.
- Ensure that timely alerts about grant compliances are shared with the team.
- Track incomes for assigned grants and highlight challenges, if any.
- Keep track of Grant-wise budgetary allocations made through PRs.
- Support Grants team in preparation of their Project related MIS.
- Work closely with Finance Team and ensure that expenses are charged to correct codes.
- Review monthly expense allocations in line with grants management principles.
- Provide support in preparation of draft budgets for new funding opportunities.
- Provide support during donor due diligence.
- Provide support for Salary allocation workings and track monthly staff actual allocations against planned.
- Assist in Sub award management - ensuring all processes are followed, handling their close-out processes.
- Provide support for smooth and timely grant close-out processes.
- Prepare fund requests for donors.
- Developing tools or excel based tracking for various purposes/internal reports.
- Support during various external/internal/donor audits.
- Maintain proper documentation of all grant s agreements and other related documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to ensure sound grants management in the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor s degree in commerce/finance. Additional qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience especially working on various donor grants management, generating various excel based reports.
- Microsoft business central experience would be preferred. Working knowledge of other Accounting Software would be an added advantage.
- Good understanding and knowledge of various donors related grants management and financial reporting, analysis etc.
- High degree of proficiency in Excel, word and power-point.
- Experience of working in the finance function of an INGO, multi-cultural environment
- Experience in handling UN/ CSR grants will be an added advantage.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of accounting and budgeting in INGOs/ FCRA.
Recruitment Process:

- Group Discussions may be part of the interview process for certain positions.
- The process could also include presentation of the assignment.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend one or more rounds of panel interview/s.
The complete process usually takes 2 to 3 weeks. Those moving to the final round of interviews will be hearing from the People Culture team. We prefer in person meetings but in case of location distances, we are happy to meet you virtually.
