  • Job Description:

As an Academic Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of academic programs within an educational institution. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of administrative duties aimed at supporting faculty, students, and the overall academic mission of the institution.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Management:
Collaborate with faculty members to develop, review, and update academic curricula.
  • Ensure that academic programs align with institutional goals, accreditation standards, and industry requirements.
Oversee the implementation of curriculum changes and updates.
  • Student Affairs:
Serve as a point of contact for student inquiries, concerns, and grievances related to academic matters.
  • Coordinate student admissions, registration, and enrollment processes.
Facilitate student orientation programs and provide guidance on academic policies and procedures.
  • Faculty Support:
Assist in faculty recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes.
  • Coordinate faculty development initiatives, workshops, and training sessions.
Manage faculty workload, schedules, and assignments.
  • Academic Policies & Compliance:
Interpret and enforce academic policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of academic policies and procedures.
  • Program Assessment & Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate program outcomes and student learning.
  • Monitor academic program performance and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to maintain program quality and relevance.
  • Budget Management:
Assist in budget planning and allocation for academic departments and programs.
  • Monitor expenditure and ensure fiscal responsibility in academic operations.
Prepare financial reports and forecasts related to academic activities.
  • Facilities & Resources Coordination:
Coordinate academic facilities, classrooms, laboratories, and equipment.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to ensure availability of resources for academic activities.
Manage scheduling and maintenance of academic facilities and equipment.
  • Communications & Outreach:
Communicate academic policies, procedures, and updates to stakeholders including students, faculty, and staff.
  • Develop and disseminate academic publications, newsletters, and announcements.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote academic programs and initiatives.
  • Committee Participation:
Serve on academic committees, task forces, and working groups as required.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes related to academic affairs.
Represent the institution in academic forums, conferences, and professional networks.
  • Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on trends, best practices, and innovations in academic administration.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and organizational efficiency.
Engage in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in academic administration.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, in Education, Higher Education Administration, or related field.
Previous experience in academic administration or related roles preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in office productivity software and academic management systems.
Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory requirements in higher education.
