We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager to lead our clients solar projects in India. The O&M Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, performance optimization, and compliance of solar energy systems to ensure their reliable and efficient operation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive O&M strategies, policies, and procedures for solar energy systems in India.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of O&M activities.
- Collaborate with project development and engineering teams to optimize system design and performance for long-term reliability and efficiency.
- Lead and manage a team of O&M technicians, engineers, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the O&M team.
- Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and allocate resources to ensure timely and effective execution of O&M activities.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and schedules to proactively identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Oversee corrective maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements, to minimize system downtime and maximize energy production.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to procure spare parts, equipment, and technical support as needed.
- Monitor the performance of solar energy systems through data analysis, monitoring tools, and site inspections.
- Identify opportunities for performance optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost savings through operational adjustments and system upgrades.
- Implement performance enhancement measures, such as module cleaning, vegetation management, and equipment upgrades, to maximize energy yield and revenue generation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree (preferred).
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in solar O&M management, preferably in India or the Asia-Pacific region.
- Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, monitoring systems, and associated equipment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards governing solar energy operations and maintenance in India.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels.
