Dr. Moopens Nursing College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing College Lecturer to join our dynamic faculty team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to nursing students, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the academic and professional development of future nurses.
Responsibilities
- Teaching and Curriculum Development:
- Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in accordance with the nursing curriculum.
- Stay updated with advancements in nursing education and integrate relevant changes into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with the curriculum development team to enhance and create instructional materials.
- Student Assessment and Evaluation:
- Design and implement fair and effective assessment methods to evaluate students understanding and competency.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and facilitate remedial support when necessary.
- Clinical Supervision:
- Oversee and guide students during clinical rotations to ensure the application of theoretical knowledge in real-world healthcare settings.
- Collaborate with clinical preceptors and healthcare facilities to optimize the clinical learning experience.
- Research and Scholarship:
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research projects, publications, and presentations, to contribute to the field of nursing education.
- Encourage and mentor students in research endeavors.
- Student Support and Mentorship:
- Act as a mentor and advisor to students, providing academic and career guidance.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student success and well-being.
- Professional Development:
- Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in nursing education through continuous professional development.
- Participate in workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and subject matter expertise.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Maintain open and effective communication with students, colleagues, and administration.
- Administrative Responsibilities:
- Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and other academic activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursing program through active involvement in accreditation processes.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current nursing licensure.
- Previous experience in nursing education and/or clinical practice.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
- Demonstrated ability to engage students and create an interactive learning environment.
