Over the past several years, Excavation Division (EXD) has been focused on driving profitable business growth in India and contributing to nation building. We are now forming a dedicated Product Management team to handle all aspects of NPI, Strategy & Product Support for India Region.
As an NPI Team Leader, you will directly contribute to the success of our NPI/NSI programs and be a part of the core team defining product strategy.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, purchasing, operations, aftermarket, business resources and process partners
- Spearhead projects supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), New Source Introduction (NSI), Aftermarket growth and other strategic initiatives across EXD, including Medium Excavators, Small Excavators & Large Excavators.
- Apply practical working knowledge and applications of 6 Sigma tools and methodologies to address issues and continuously improve processes, ensuring operational excellence.
- Apply understanding of customer and competitive trends to provide product definition inputs to engineering & stakeholders
- Coordinate with project and NPI leads across Excavation to exchange best practices and implement effective solutions fostering collaboration and shared learning.
- Establish priorities and develop work plans to efficiently complete assignments and achieve desired outcomes, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
What You Have (Basic Qualifications)
- Planning: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (near term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of product group strategy.
- Products and Services: Knowledge of Excavation products, ability to apply knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to prioritize process partner and customer needs and deliver exceptional service, ensuring customer requirements are meet and enhance overall experience.
- Effective Communication: Proven track record of clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and process partners.
- Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, fostering collaboration and alignment to achieve shared goals.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic mindset with the capability to understand market trends, anticipate future needs, and develop proactive strategies to drive business growth.
- Problem Solving: Proficiency in approaches, tools and techniques to recognize, anticipate and resolve organization, operational or process problems. Ability to resolve issues within diverse situations.
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Knowledge of design for manufacturability guidelines, methodologies and use cases; ability to use this knowledge to optimize product designs and manufacturing operations.
- Data Gathering & Analysis: Experience in gathering and analyzing data to inform decision-making, identify trends, and provide actionable insights that drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Top candidates will also have
- Professional background in key disciplines such as engineering, business, product development, marketing, or purchasing.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma tools and processes, demonstrating proficiency in process improvement methodologies and tools.
- Experience leading projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to navigate sensitive situations and effectively engaging professionals at all levels.
