TEAM ASSEMBLER JOB DESCRIPTION
A team assembler is a dedicated individual responsible for product assembly, quality inspections, and deadlines. Team assemblers should be capable of reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics. The team assembler is able to perform all tasks required in the assembly process and should be able to work his way around most of them as compared to focusing only on one particular task daily. The team assembler performs all kinds of repairs needed and reports any errors or issues observed in the assembly line or production floor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Study and understand blueprints and schematics of products to be assembled
Perform quality inspection on completed components to ensure quality and product specifications are met and followed.
Rotate through different tasks in the assembly process
Resolve assembly and production issues in a timely manner
Plan and determine operational procedures, work assignments and schedules
Position parts and sub-assemblies with the use of templates and measurements
Schedule regular maintenance on equipment including troubleshooting issues and getting repairs done on time with respect to equipment manual.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with company regulations to ensure personal safety and the safety of others
Check and maintain supply inventory levels to ensure inventory is resupplied and orders are sent to anticipate production needs
Maintain daily and weekly record of work through filling production and quality forms
Ensure proper use of resources taking only what is needed for production
