New test job

As a Trims Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing Automotive trims components for automotive vehicles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure that trims meet aesthetic, functional, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop interior or exterior trim components such as door panels, instrument panels, consoles, and headliners etc.

Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using NX software based on design specifications and requirements.

Collaborate with styling, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure that trims meet design intent, performance targets, and manufacturability requirements.

Conduct feasibility studies and design reviews to assess the viability of proposed trim concepts and make recommendations for improvements.

Perform engineering calculations and analyses to validate the structural integrity, material selection, and performance of trims.

Develop and maintain design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

Support prototype builds and testing activities to evaluate trim performance and identify areas for optimization.

Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes related to automotive interior or exterior trims.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

5 to 7 years of experience in automotive interior trim design and development.

Proficiency in software experience in NX is highly mandatory.

Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
