Role: Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities

Maintaining & implementation of the SOP for Network security

Management of (Network Intrusion Detection System) NIDS appliances and Design of NIDS policy on basis of snort signatures mapped to application network flows.

Configuring and implementing intrusion detection system across the organization.

Evaluate security risks by analyzing application architecture and network flows and present solutions for secure network design.

Firewall configuration review for risky rules and network assurance.

Act on the IPS/IDS, Firewalls, Switch, router impact alerts.

Qualitative Requirements

4+ years experience in Network Security domain.

1+ years experience in any scripting languages e.g. python.

6+ years experience in cyber security domain.

Ability to conduct an in-depth analysis of computer networks and identify any vulnerabilities or gaps in the system.

Expertise across a variety of security products including firewalls, IDS/IPS, Firewall Analyzers, Azure Firewalls, NSGs, Application gateways, WAF etc.

Ability to administer firewalls, routers, virtual private networks (VPNs), and other security tools

Previous exposure to Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems, coding languages, and/or Networks

Knowledge of networking concepts such as LAN, WAN connectivity, TCP/IP, web protocols and network related cyber attacks.

Knowledge on network assessment/recon tools like nmap, angry IP, metasploit etc.

Education Qualification Requirements:

B.Tech (Computer Science/IT/Electronics/Communication Engineering) with min 60% marks

Desirable Certifications CEH, CCNA
