About Core IT:
The Network team is responsible for the IT network infrastructure across the enterprise including: Hy-Vee's retail, corporate, subsidiary, distribution, and manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will excel at obtaining results in a fast-paced environment, have excellent problem solving and communication skills, and can connect technology to real-world business challenges.
About Role:
- Lead and supervise a team of network engineers, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure efficient operations within the network engineering department
- Manage on-premises and cloud-based systems and servers, including DNS, DHCP, Windows Active Directory, IP address assignment, voice-over IP, firewall configuration, and VPN, to ensure seamless service delivery to authorized users
- Provide training, supervision, and performance evaluations for network engineering staff to enhance productivity and achieve project objectives effectively
Key Skills:
- 10 -13 years of experience in network engineering or a related role with proven leadership experience managing a team
- Comprehensive knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls
- Experience with on-premises and cloud-based systems administration, including Windows Active Directory and cloud networking solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent is highly desirable
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry best practices
- Leadership abilities, with a focus on mentorship, team development, and fostering a collaborative work environment
