Network Engineer

JD of Network Engineer:

• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
• Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, Firewalls, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with Cisco, HP, and Juniper switches through practical application.
• Proficiency in routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
• Familiarity with switching concepts such as STP, RSTP, LLDP, CDP, VLAN, etc.
• Understanding of HSRP and VRRP.
• Good understanding of VPN technology: IPsec, SSL, GRE
• Good understanding of OSI and TCP/IP model
• Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation.
• Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Arranging scheduled upgrades.
• Investigating faults in the network.
• Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
• Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.
• Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
