Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing low-latency, high-performance network infrastructure to support our trading operations in fast-paced financial markets.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure i.e. switches, routers, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.
- Implement and optimize network protocols and configurations.
- Develop and maintain network automation scripts and tools to streamline operations.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect systems and data from cyber threats, intrusions, and unauthorized access.
- Participate in capacity planning and scalability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in network engineering and administration.
- Proficiency in network design principles, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet, multicast, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and QoS.
- Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper.
- Experience with network monitoring and performance analysis tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, Nagios, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with network security principles and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIA, JNCIP, JNCIE, or equivalent.
- Experience with low-latency network optimization techniques, including network stack tuning, kernel bypass, and hardware acceleration.
