Network Engineer

The Network Engineer is responsible for advancing the company by planning, designing, and implementing new technologies. The Network Engineer position does research, documentation, implementation of best practice, and project execution as well as sitting atop the escalation pyramid, serving as the last technical hand before engaging a vendor, and accordingly requires the ability to quickly and effectively troubleshoot and resolve high level escalations.

• Utilize ConnectWise ticketing system to track and resolve issues and projects.

• Provide escalation (Tier 3) support to the desktop group.
• Perform installations and upgrades of Windows and Linux operating systems and enterprise applications.
• Participate in the planning, design, implementation and troubleshooting of enterprise network solutions.
• Maximize infrastructure performance by monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, optimizing, and balancing systems and services.
• Perform infrastructure administration and maintenance (moves, adds, changes, deletes).
• Enhance network security by implementing controls that meet business needs, support company policy, and align with contractual/client requirements.
• Participate in annual assessments and processes including but not limited to:
• Security and risk assessments
• Vulnerability scanning and remediation
• Penetration testing and remediation
• Incident response
• Security awareness
• Business continuity planning and testing
• Perform all duties while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment to strong customer service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
