Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly, and escalate problems to appropriate parties when necessary.
Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Manage user accounts, permissions, email, antivirus, and anti-spam solutions.
Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls to ensure network security and integrity.
Implement firewall rules, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization's data
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement new systems, policies, and procedures.
Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing their IT-related concerns and inquiries.
Document technical processes, procedures, and configurations.
Investigating security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
Identifying vulnerabilities within a system, resolve and then responding to cybersecurity breaches such as hacking.
Identifying and fixing Vulnerabilities within existing security systems.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in an IT Networking or similar role.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
Proficiency in Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Linux+, CCNA) are a plus.
