Job Description: Network Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to oversee our technology operations and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements within the stock broking industry in India. The IT Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our IT systems, implementing new technologies, and maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including network infrastructure, systems administration, and technical support.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance, security, and efficiency.
- Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support to optimize performance and productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and develop solutions to meet business objectives.
- Constant engagement with regulatory bodies, adherence to regulatory frameworks, active participation in consultations, and prompt compliance with regulatory directives and guidelines.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and systems to enhance productivity, streamline operations, and improve the client experience.
- Ensure the security and integrity of our IT infrastructure, including data protection, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity measures.
- Monitor system performance and uptime, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effective and reliable IT services.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in technology, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Prepare and manage the IT budget, tracking expenses and forecasting future needs to support business growth and strategic objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of Proven experience in IT management, preferably in the stock broking or financial services industry.
- Strong technical skills in network administration, systems engineering, and cybersecurity.
- Experience managing and leading a team of IT professionals, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards applicable to the financial industry in India.
- Proficiency in evaluating and implementing IT solutions, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a results-driven and customer-centric approach.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate IT initiatives on time and within budget.
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, and CISSP) is a plus.
