Role Description:
SWAQ IT CONSULTING is seeking an experienced Network Consultant with a proven track record of at least 5 years in enterprise networking. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in routing, switching, security, wireless, LAN, and WAN technologies. As a Network Consultant, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining network solutions for our clients, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise network solutions, including routing, switching, security, wireless, LAN, and WAN.
- Conduct network assessments and audits to identify performance issues and security vulnerabilities.
- Develop and document network architecture, configuration, and policies.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and provide tailored network solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal teams.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in networking technologies.
- Assist in the development of proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise networking.
- Strong expertise in routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching (VLANs, STP, VTP), and network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
- Experience with wireless technologies and network management tools.
- Proficiency in designing and managing LAN/WAN environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.).
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with network monitoring and performance optimization tools.
