Overview
The .NET Developer plays a crucial role in our organization, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions using Microsoft technologies. Their contributions directly impact the performance and functionality of our software systems, ensuring that they meet the needs and requirements of our clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
- Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
- Revise, update, refactor, and debug code
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Deploy fully functional applications
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software
- Build and maintain databases
- Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones, tablets and desktops
- Develop technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture
- Work with business users to ensure solutions meet business needs
- Stay up to date with new trends and best practices in the industry
- Mentor and support junior developers
- Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer
- Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC))
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#)
- Experience with front-end technologies (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
- Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
- Understanding of debugging and performance tuning
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- Ability to document requirements and specifications
- Experience with web services development, such as WCF and WebAPI
- Good knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), SQL, and ORM technologies
