An experienced leader responsible for managing a team of reporting specialists to ensure State Street's regulatory disclosures are filed in a complete, timely and accurate manner. The candidate should be detail oriented and analytic with a robust understanding of US Regulatory framework.
The candidate will bring strong communication, analytical and technical skills to the role to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the regulatory reports to management and to regulators. The individual will work closely with a geographically diverse team to build relationships, drive cross-functional projects and ensure compliance with various oversight groups. Additionally, the candidate will liaise closely with a number of US based regulators on a regular basis and represent State Street in meetings with the regulators.

In this role you will execute on disclosure regulations across various products and will be responsible for implementing new disclosure regulations, driving reporting data strategy, designing key controls and associated risk framework. What Are The Key Responsibilities Of This Role
- Lead the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory reports to US based regulators. Managing the end-to-end report production processes including the collation of data, performing trend analysis and reconciliation.
- Actively participate in internal and external audit and assurance reviews. Effectively manage the resolution of identified issues. Develop and execute the associated remediation plans
- Partner with various internal stakeholders (IT, Global Accounting, Controllers) on change management activities and process improvement initiatives to ensure that the changes are implemented in a timely manner and regulatory framework enhanced as applicable
- Oversee the design and implementation of end-to-end reporting processes, ensuring that each process is suitably designed and operationally feasible
- Participate in periodic review meetings with State Street management and various US based regulators such as FRB, OCC, FDIC and State review teams.
- Independently lead discussions with regulators, conduct applicable data / system analysis and respond to regulator enquiries in a timely manner
- Assess and analyze proposed changes to regulations and determine its impact on regulatory filings.
What We Value
- Demonstrated experience in leading an end-to-end regulatory reporting lifecycle, working across technology, data, reporting and controls within a financial services environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment by demonstrating excellent time management and planning skills
- Prior experience in US regulatory reporting at a global investment bank and knowledge of accounting principles and US GAAP
- A relationship builder with the ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with business and functional partners at the firm
- Experience managing global initiatives including timelines, stakeholder management, interdependencies resource allocation and senior management communication
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to take ownership, solve problems and improve on existing reporting processes
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clarity on complex topics
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities and deadlines
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, with US GAAP familiarity required
- CA, CPA, MBA, or Master's degree in accounting or finance a plus
- Background in public accounting or bank reporting
- 14-18 years of relevant experience in a Bank or Financial Institution is a must
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products and able to learn other systems quickly; Business Intelligence tools and Essbase familiarity a plus
