We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Data Conversion Analyst with excellent My SQL knowledge. This role is critical in the context of our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system migration project, where you will be responsible for perform impact analysis on existing multiple boundary applications, work on the functional and technical design documents with cross functional team members and transforming data from our existing environments and many other sources. The candidate should be responsible for doing the validation of converted data in multiple environments.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Query Optimization
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to retrieve, analyze, and manipulate data quickly and efficiently.
Develop, maintain, and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support application requirements.
Optimize SQL queries and data extraction processes to enhance performance and minimize downtime during the migration.
Transformation
Transform and cleanse extracted data to meet the format and quality standards required for the boundary applications. Implement data mapping and conversion rules as per the project's specifications.
Data Validation:
Create Pre-validation and Post-validation reports for business validation.
Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure that the extracted data meets the migration criteria.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of the data extraction and transformation processes, including SQL scripts, data mapping, and any data-related issues encountered.
Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of database processes, procedures, and configurations.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including boundary application consultants, and ERP business analyst, to understand the migration requirements and coordinate data conversion efforts.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve any SQL-related issues or data extraction challenges that may arise during the project.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of proven experience as a MySQL Developer with 8+ years of experience.
Experience in data conversion on previous projects will be an added value.
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing the scripts.
Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
Solid understanding of stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
Knowledge of data conversion best practices.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Familiarity with other database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) is a plus.
