Position Overview
As a Senior MuleSoft Architect, you will design, implement, and oversee high-performance integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. You will work closely with stakeholders across various teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-quality solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring that MuleSoft architecture and integration patterns align with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Architecture:
- Design and implement high-level architectural solutions, focusing on integration with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Develop best practices and reference architectures to streamline delivery processes.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and business needs, leveraging the full capability of MuleSoft to deliver integrated systems.
- Technical Leadership:
- Lead and mentor development teams on MuleSoft integration patterns and best practices.
- Oversee all phases of MuleSoft development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to solution deployment.
- Provide guidance on API-led connectivity, reusable assets, orchestration, security, and data transformation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and guide project scope.
- Conduct workshops, demos, and discussions to define integration strategies and document integration requirements.
- Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement by optimizing integration processes and identifying automation opportunities.
- Assess existing integration infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement, scalability, and efficiency.
- Security & Compliance:
- Ensure all MuleSoft integrations follow industry security best practices, including data encryption, identity management, and access control.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards for integration solutions.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on MuleSoft architecture, best practices, and reusable assets.
- Foster knowledge sharing across teams to build MuleSoft proficiency and awareness within the organization.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise integration, with at least 3-5 years focused on MuleSoft.
- Proven track record as a solution architect, ideally with experience in API-led connectivity and ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) architecture.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Exchange.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, SOAP, web services, and integration patterns (synchronous and asynchronous).
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and related infrastructure as it pertains to integrations.
- Familiarity with security standards such as OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities with experience guiding and mentoring team members.
- Certifications:
- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect and/or MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect (strongly preferred).
