Position: Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager

Location: Bangalore

Employment Mode: Full-TimeÂ

Reports To: Head of Operations

Job Summary


The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the effective planning, monitoring, and evaluation of IndiVillage Foundation’s programs and projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in M&E methodologies, data analysis, and reporting. The M&E Manager will work closely with program teams to design and implement M&E frameworks,

analyze program performance, and contribute to strategic decision-making to enhance the impact of our initiatives.




Key ResponsibilitiesÂ


  1. Develop and Implement M&E Frameworks:
  • Design and implement a comprehensive M&E framework for our three key programs, aligning with the Foundation’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Develop a clear and concise M&E plan outlining the methodology, indicators, benchmarks, data collection tools, and reporting processes to track progress and outcomes and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of the various programs of IndiVillage Foundation.
  • Provide technical assistance to coordinators, fellows, partners and other stakeholders regarding monitoring, reporting, and governance issues.


  1. Develop Logical Frameworks & Theory of Change:
  • Develop logical frameworks and theories of change for each program, clearly articulating the causal pathways between program activities and expected outcomes.
  • Identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track program progress and impact.
  • Refine the logical frameworks and theories of change based on ongoing data analysis and learning.


  1. Data Collection and Analysis:
  • Establish standardized data collection and analysis protocols to ensure data quality and consistency across programs.
  • Design and develop impact trackers, surveys, and questionnaires to collect quantitative and qualitative data on program outputs, outcomes, and impact.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Ensure that data collection tools are culturally appropriate, user-friendly, and aligned with ethical research practices.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular audits and quality checks.


  1. Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain and administer the M&E database, analyse findings, and support project progress reporting.
  • Prepare detailed reports, case studies, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to program teams, management, and donors.


  1. Capacity Building:
  • Train and support program staff and partners in M&E practices and tools to build capacity, increase awareness on the importance of M&E and encourage accountability for demonstrating results.



Candidate Requirements

  • Education:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, Economics or Public Policy
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in M&E in the nonprofit or development sector
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing M&E systems and frameworks
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency with tools for data collection, analysis and reporting (e.g., SPSS, Stata, Tableau, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.

6,00,000-7,00,000
