Mobile testing-Android(Espresso,Kotlin)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Mobile Automation Engineer with over 6 years of hands-on

experience in mobile automation testing, specializing in Espresso and Kotlin. The ideal candidate will be

responsible for developing robust automation frameworks and driving the mobile testing strategy for Android

applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile apps, mentoring

junior team members, and ensuring efficient automation practices.

What you'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain robust Android automation frameworks using Espresso and Kotlin.

Create, execute, and manage automation test scripts for functional, regression, and performance

testing of Android applications.

Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure proper test coverage and integration

of automation tests in development workflows.

Lead the design and execution of automated test suites to ensure the quality, performance, and

scalability of Android applications.

Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring the adoption of best automation practices and test

strategies.

Continuously improve the automation frameworks and introduce advanced automation tools and

processes to improve test efficiency.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the automation framework, test environments, and test scripts.

Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines for continuous

testing.

Analyze test results, report defects, and work with the development team to debug and resolve issues

in a timely manner.

Stay updated with the latest trends in Android automation testing, ensuring that the team adopts

cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.

What we are looking for

6+ years of experience in mobile automation testing for Android platforms.

Strong hands-on experience with Espresso and Kotlin for automation.

Experience in building and scaling Android automation frameworks.

Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab for test automation integration.

Deep understanding of Android app architecture, Android SDK, and mobile testing methodologies.

Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of mobile automation engineers.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.

Experience with version control systems like Git and defect tracking tools like Jira.

Nice to have

Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber for behavior-driven development.

Familiarity with Appium or other mobile automation frameworks.

Experience with API testing using Postman or REST Assured.

Performance and security testing experience for Android applications.

Exposure to Java in Android testing and transitioning between Java and Kotlin codebases.
