Job Description

Application Assessment and Readiness:

Assist in evaluating the suitability of the target environment for applications based on requirements.

Contribute to gathering information about application infrastructure, dependencies, and performance needs.

Support the creation of checklists to ensure all technical and operational prerequisites are met before migration.

Migration Planning and Coordination:

Assist in preparing detailed migration run sheets outlining the steps for each application.

Create, track and drive change requests.

Track and document changes throughout the migration process, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Coordinate with network, storage, and other technical teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.

Participate in stakeholder meetings, review migration plans, and facilitate communication.

Migration Execution and Verification:

Support the execution of migration activities, following established procedures and guidelines.

Verify the successful migration of application services and infrastructure components.

Conduct post-migration checks to ensure operational readiness and functionality.

Document any issues or discrepancies encountered during the migration process.

Documentation and Communication:

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of migration documentation, including plans, run sheets, and checklists.

Assist in preparing reports on migration progress and outcomes.

Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates and seeking clarification as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Basic understanding of application infrastructure, networks, and data storage.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Eagerness to learn and develop skills in migration processes and technologies.
