Middle School English Teacher

Winmore Academy is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Middle School English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature and language, a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment, and a strong ability to engage and inspire middle school students.

• Key Responsibilities:

Instruction:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the middle school English curriculum.

Teach a range of language arts topics including reading, writing, grammar, and literature.

• Utilize various instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs and styles.

Student Assessment:

• Create and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding.

Provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians regarding academic performance.

• Track and document student progress and achievements.

Classroom Management:

• Establish and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.

Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a respectful and focused atmosphere.

• Address and manage student behavior issues in accordance with school policies.

Curriculum Development:

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the English curriculum.

Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into lesson plans.

• Stay current with educational trends and best practices in middle school English education.

Professional Development:

• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Contribute to school-wide initiatives and committees as needed.

Communication: Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and school staff.

• Attend parent-teacher conferences and school events as required.

Provide support and guidance to students to foster their academic and personal growth.

• Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

• Valid teaching certification for middle school English.

Proven experience teaching English at the middle school level.

• Strong knowledge of English language arts curriculum and instructional strategies.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to create a supportive and engaging classroom environment.
