What You'll Do

  • Setting up Optiver India's Operations function to support business activities in Equity Derivatives, Currency Derivatives, Equity Cash Segments (and subsequently for Commodities Derivatives segment)
  • Working closely with internal stakeholder and external vendors for setting up the operations platform i.e. implementation of appropriate systems, process and controls to support trade settlement & risk management
  • Establishing & managing processes for day-to-day settlement activities i.e. settlement of funds/securities with clearing member / stock exchanges / clearing corporation.
  • Establishing & managing processes for Collateral Management (in the form of cash, bank guarantees, Government securities) with clearing member / clearing corporation.
  • Establishing & managing processes for Trades and Positions reconciliation against clearing members and clearing corporations, Bank reconciliations, DP account reconciliations, CSGL account reconciliations etc.
  • Establishing & managing processes for Cash management including fund transfers for margins, settlement obligations, Fees etc. between the Company, clearing member, clearing corporation.
  • Establishing & managing processes for Regulatory reporting and Co-ordinating periodic regulatory audits
  • Co-ordinating yearly statutory audits (including ICFR audits) to demonstrate existence and effectiveness of key controls in trade life cycle.
  • Manage working relationships with stock exchanges, clearing corporations, banks, Depository Participants and CSGL custodian.

Who You Are

  • 12+ years of managing operations function with reputed Stock broking / trading firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Commerce or Business.
  • Chartered Accountant, MBA or other such qualification preferred.
  • Experience in managing small teams to meet deliverables in a high performing environment.
  • Strong attention to details with experience in operational activities
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • A pro-active, results-driven attitude
