Portfolio Administration is responsible for all operational duties for a set of portfolios within an investment strategy. Directly Responsible for supporting and servicing Portfolio Managers managing funds segregated based on strategy. AVP therefore requires strong staff management and client servicing skills as well as relevant industry experience. He/she will be responsible to produce results of daily deliverables and is expected to work with little to no oversight, identify and resolve trends and educate and train staff on new issues.
The position requires regular independent interaction with internal teams, client contacts, custodians and other interested parties. The data elements gathered need to be maintained in an accurate and timely manner to help support the clients trading activities in addition to supporting numerous departments within the organization. The position will also be the primary point of contact internally and externally regarding the data elements, hence excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills is a must for the role
OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES:
- End to end ownership of CRD testing through various phases till go-live for various phases of Rainier project
- Represent India Alpha Team and adding value in various project calls
- Partner with cross functional teams on defining and improving the new F2B operating model
- Review new documents or existing operation controls and procedures
- Assess systems capabilities and identify potential functionality gaps
- Participate in client onboarding and conversion events
- Act as a resource taking a leadership role in transformation and growth initiatives
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Develop and build up a strong relationship with internal and external clients
- Assume managerial oversight of all operations conducted by the assigned team(s) in India
- Ensure sufficiently trained staff is available to service the client/s and deliver quality service
- Assume responsibility for the implementation of client specific projects (new business development review, planning & roll out)
- Conduct Performance appraisals and objective setting
- Provide timely updates on issues affecting daily production to governance and carry out necessary corrective action
- Manage on-going relationships with the goal of meeting/exceeding service delivery standards
- Work to broaden scope of services in India to support overall global strategy
- Represent State Street by serving on internal and external committees and industry associations
- Evaluate current methods and strategies. Communicate and manage implementation of changes and improvements
- Responsible for execution of overall business plan in assigned areas
- Responsible for the direction and development of subordinate managers at all levels as well as staff
- Resolve employee complaints and escalations

- Maintain open lines of communication and ensure regular interaction with onshore oversight teams
