Metallurgical Engineer

This company is a prominent medium-scale hand tool manufacturing firm in India with multiple operational locations. Its main plant in Nashik employs around 1,000 people and includes facilities for forging, machining, heat treatment, electroplating, assembly, and tool manufacturing with conventional and CNC machines. It also has an in-house design facility.

The Ideal candidate shall be in his early 40's and should have -

• Ensure the quality and performance of metal components used in hand tool manufacturing.
• Lead a team focused on metallurgy and surface treatment processes.
• Design and implement surface treatments (e.g., heat treatment, plating, coating) to enhance material properties.
• Conduct metallurgical analysis and use relevant testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve metallurgical issues in manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical support and expertise on metallurgy and material selection.
• Monitor and optimize treatment parameters for hardness, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.
• Collaborate with procurement to select appropriate metal alloys and materials.
• Strong knowledge of metallurgical principles and material behavior.
• Experience with metallurgical analysis and quality control procedures.
• Proven ability to lead a team and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
