Job Title: GST Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented GST Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations and procedures, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all GST-related matters. The GST Specialist will be responsible for managing GST filings, resolving any GST-related issues, and staying updated on changes in GST laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of GST compliance for the organization.
- Prepare and file GST returns accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with GST regulations.
- Resolve any GST-related queries or issues from internal or external stakeholders.
- Keep abreast of changes in GST laws and regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on GST matters as needed.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting of GST transactions.
- Assist in GST assessments and audits conducted by tax authorities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a GST Specialist or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of GST laws and regulations.
- Experience in preparing and filing GST returns.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Relevant professional certification or qualification is a plus.
