Merchant

The role of a Merchant focuses on supplier management, assortment planning, and fashion trend collection. This includes sourcing and handling factories, developing effective merchandise displays, and creating look books to ensure consistency with next year's fashion trends.

Responsibilities:

• Supplier Management:

Identify and source products by managing relationships with suppliers and factories.

• Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure optimal cost and quality.

Oversee supplier performance to ensure timely and quality delivery of products.

• Assortment Planning:

Develop and implement merchandise display strategies to maximize sales.

• Ensure visual consistency across all product displays.

Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform product decisions.

• Fashion Trend Collection:

Create look books to showcase upcoming fashion trends.

• Ensure consistency with next year's fashion trends across all collections.

Collaborate with design teams to develop trend-aligned product assortments.

• Performance Analysis:

Analyze sales data to inform future product selections and strategies.

• Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales and profitability.

Adjust inventory and display plans based on performance data.

• Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to align merchandising strategies with overall business goals.

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as needed.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in merchandising, with a focus on supplier management and fashion trends.

Proven track record in managing product assortments and driving sales.

Skills:

• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.

Excellent visual merchandising and display skills.

• Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends.

Familiarity with merchandising software and inventory management systems.
