Job Title: Category 1 Merchant Banker

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Category 1 Merchant Banker to join our team. As a Category 1 Merchant Banker, you will be responsible for providing strategic advisory services to clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, and other corporate finance transactions. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic advice to clients on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate finance transactions

- Lead deal teams to execute transactions, including due diligence, valuation, and negotiation

- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including CEOs, CFOs, and other senior executives

- Identify new business opportunities and pitch for new mandates

- Collaborate with other teams, including industry coverage, equity capital markets, and debt capital markets

- Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in investment banking or merchant banking

- Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting, and financial modeling

- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Strong network and relationships with clients and industry professionals

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred
