Merchandising Intern

Company Description

Farida Gupta is a venture committed to preserving traditional crafts and techniques of dyeing, weaving, printing, and hand embroidery. Our aim is to design contemporary wear garments using natural materials and indigenous skills. We source fabric from core artisan centers across the country, including Bagru, Kutch, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bijnor, and southern India.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sample Merchandising Intern at Farida Gupta in Delhi. The Sample Merchandising Intern will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day merchandising tasks such as inventory management, product sourcing, trend analysis, and coordination with production teams. They will also support the merchandising team in market research, competitor analysis, and product development.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work with numbers
• Basic knowledge of merchandising principles and processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Background in fashion or retail is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field
