A fashion merchandiser, also known as a buyer, is
responsible for buying and merchandising clothing, footwear, and accessories.
The candidate will be responsible for identifying fabric & garment manufacturers, and developing the garment samples for the assigned product/style while working closely with the Vendors. As part of the product development team, s/he will also be providing support in identifying opportunities for cost-saving, onboarding new vendors, and executing the agenda for the department in the assigned product.
Job Responsibilities Of a Garments Merchandiser
Planning and developing merchandising strategies
- Vendor identification - Fabric, apparel & accessories.
- Resolve any quality issues in the garments received from the suppliers.
- Coordinating with sales team to receive the orders
- Handling & Sampling material from the vendor, Managing vendor & Creating appealing visual displays that suit our target market, budget, and the latest trends.
- To collect the PO (purchase order) from buyer.
- To prepare an order plan, according to the right product, in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantities, at the right price, in the right promotion.
- To prepare the order costing and price quoting.
- To monitor the garments sample process according to the buyer requirement.
- To collect the all of garments fabric, accessories & trims.
