Role - Merchandiser/e-commerce operation manager
This is a full-time on-site role for e-commerce operation Manager located in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. The candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with different business units. Responsibilities typically include managing inventory, overseeing order fulfillment, coordinating with suppliers and vendors, optimizing product listings, monitoring website performance, analyzing sales data, implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills, as well as proficiency in e-commerce platforms and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability to fulfill customer orders.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain optimal inventory levels and negotiate favorable terms.
Order Fulfillment:
- Oversee the order fulfillment process from receipt to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with production team to streamline order processing and shipping operations.
- Implement best practices for order picking, packing, and shipping to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Product Management:
- Manage product listings on the e-commerce platform, including uploading new products, updating descriptions, and optimizing keywords.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure product information accuracy and consistency across channels.
- Work closely with the design team to launch new products and promotions effectively.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Analyze sales data, traffic patterns, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Utilize data-driven decision-making to optimize pricing, promotions, and product assortment.
- Record all financial transactions
Customer Service and Satisfaction:
- Ensure exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and handling returns or exchanges.
- Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience and foster customer loyalty.
- Monitor customer feedback and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
