We are seeking a highly motivated Merchandiser to join our team. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for planning and executing merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in the job market context of India, with strong analytical and communication skills. This is a permanent position, and work-from-home arrangements are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to meet sales and profitability goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Manage inventory levels and ensure product availability in stores and online
- Create and maintain product assortments based on customer preferences and market trends
- Negotiate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and terms
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and consumer preferences
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3-7 years of experience in merchandising in the job market context of India
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
- Knowledge of retail math and inventory management best practices
- Experience with online marketplaces and e-commerce platforms is a plus
- Ability to work from home and manage time effectively
