Internal & external communication: Amerchandiserhas to communicate with the buyers, internal team, and others such as suppliers, nominated factory owners,fabricmanufacturers, etc.The merchandiser has to take data from the internal team and convey it to buyers, e.g. delivery dates, fabric sourced or not, etc.
Sampling: It is one of the most important tasks for all themerchandisers. Here, samples have to be developed according to the buyer's instructions. Photos of the mock-up and developments while being processed need to be sent to the client and approvals to be taken at every stage.
Fabrics, accessories & trims in-housing: After confirmation of agarment export order, a garment merchandiser has to book and in-house all kinds of fabrics, trimmings, and accessoriesaccording to the buyer's instructions. If it is a repeat order check the available stock. Study MOS and prepare fabrics for cutting week in advance.
Time to time reporting to the head of the department/seniors Updating the order status and discussing issues if any.
Utilization and updating Oddo for data records- Use odd for order records and data records. Avoid any data duplication.
Costing: The merchant has to do product costing.
Inventory report follow up with trims/fabric store.
Talk to suppliers on a continuous basis for new fabric development.

Education: - Graduation.
Experience: - 2 to 3 Years
Must have experience in Garment Industries.
