Responsibilities
This position must lead, manage and drive the raw material sourcing operations
effectively and efficiently in line with business plan and to ensure Quality & Cost-Effective Sourcing in line with brand, product and category requirements.
Build strategy around vendor base for all product categories to ensure to deliver the business requirements and vendor development for continuous improvement of efficiencies and cost.
To ensure merchandise availability OTIF at right time, right costs and right quality despite small/MOQ qty, wider width and high fashion product.
Seasonal / Annual Sourcing in line with business requirements.
Monitoring & Control of Sourcing costs, staying within promised Prime cost.
New Vendor development and relationship management.
Continuous Improvement in sourcing function efficiencies and costs.
Continuous Vendor Base Consolidation & Expansion Optimization.
Working in ERP environment
Ensuring timely Purchase Orders generation, resolving all disputes regarding purchase & return goods claim, TAT maintenance for issue to design and production, agile GRN processing, ensuring zero pendency.
Identify key risks in sourcing and develop detailed mitigation plans for each identified risk
Ensure inventory is within stipulated target of value & dormancy.
Develop and implement a just in time sourcing model that helps Brand to keep inventory turns high.
Required skills
Ensuring all the raw material sourced confirms the quality requirements of the brand and pass as per the specified quality norms.
Ensuring that the materials received are of acceptable production quality (read: top quality as per brand's image & standards)
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Graduate/Post Graduate in relevant stream
5+ Years Experience into Sourcing of Fabric & Accessories for Apparel & allied industry
