Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented MEP Procurement Specialist to join our team
at Oberoi Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing, negotiating, and
managing contracts for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) materials and services.
This role requires a proactive professional with excellent vendor management skills to
ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality materials, adhering to the
company's standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement procurement strategies for MEP materials and
services that align with project requirements and budget constraints.
Collaborate with project and engineering teams to forecast MEP procurement
needs.
2. Vendor Sourcing & Management
Identify, evaluate, and engage with reliable suppliers and vendors for MEP
components.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to ensure competitive and
cost-effective procurement.
Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality
compliance.
3. Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor inventory levels of MEP supplies and place orders in a timely manner
to avoid project delays.
Maintain cost control strategies and oversee the budget for MEP procurement
to optimise spend and avoid excess stock.
4. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure all procured MEP materials meet the company's quality standards and
regulatory requirements.
Conduct periodic assessments to ensure vendors adhere to Oberoi Group's
quality, safety, and compliance standards.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain accurate procurement documentation, including
purchase orders, invoices, and supplier contracts.
Generate procurement reports and present insights on cost savings, lead
times, and vendor performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
2-4 years of experience in MEP procurement, ideally within the hotel or hospitality
industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
Proficient in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
