ODE CONSULTANTS is a reputable engineering firm that provides innovative solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced MEP BIM Engineer to join our team. As an MEP BIM Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining Building Information Modeling (BIM) models for our clients mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. This role requires a strong understanding of MEP engineering principles and proficiency in BIM software.
Responsibilities
- Create and develop detailed BIM models of MEP systems using software such as Autodesk Revit. -
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to coordinate and integrate MEP systems into the overall BIM model. -
- Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between different systems within the BIM model. -
- Review and verify construction drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. -
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to incorporate their input and ensure accurate representation of their systems in the BIM model. -
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards and best practices for BIM modeling. -
- Conduct quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of BIM models and associated documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field. -
- Proven experience as an MEP BIM Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on MEP systems design. -
- Proficiency in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or Navisworks. -
- Strong knowledge of MEP engineering principles and systems. -
- Ability to interpret and analyze architectural and engineering drawings and specifications. -
- Experience with clash detection software and coordination with other disciplines. -
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. -
- Effective communication and collaboration skills. -
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. -
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems is essential. -
- Professional certifications in BIM, such as Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP), are a plus
