Candidates will need to have minimum experience of one year in any one of the following areas:
Acute Care
Candidates need at least one year of full-time experience working either for a hospital or for a service transcribing in-patient reports for the Medical Records department of a hospital.
Experience should include daily exposure to reports (History and Physical reports, consultations, operative and emergency room reports, and discharge summaries) for a wide variety of of specialties and dictators.
Multi-specialty clinic
Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience transcribing multi-specialty clinic dictation.
Multi-specialty experience is defined as experience in transcribing at least three different specialties concurrently.
Overall, experience with a minimum of 3-4 specialties within the past five years is preferred
Emergency Room Reports
Candidates need one or more years of experience transcribing ER reports for a hospital.
Radiology
Candidates must have at least two years of experience transcribing X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, Nuclear Medicine, ultrasounds and mammograms for either a hospital or imaging clinic.
