Stroke Middle Grade/ Specialty Doctor - 4+ years experience in Stroke
Preferably looking for MRCP or equivalent postgraduate qualification or PLAB.
GMC Registered.
- Diagnosing and treating strokes
- Stroke doctors diagnose and treat patients with strokes and transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), also known as mini-strokes.
- Managing hyperacute strokes
- Stroke doctors manage hyperacute strokes, including administering thrombolysis to patients.
- Identifying stroke mimics
- Stroke doctors identify patients with symptoms similar to a stroke but with other underlying conditions, such as epilepsy.
- Supervising junior staff
- Stroke doctors clinically supervise junior medical and other clinical staff.
- Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings
- Stroke doctors participate in multi-disciplinary meetings as scheduled.
- Engaging in medical audit
- Stroke doctors engage in medical audit and other clinical effectiveness activities.
- Developing expertise
- Stroke doctors develop expertise in identifying and managing acute strokes and their complications.
- Building clinical experience
- Stroke doctors build upon postgraduate clinical experience.
